Certification/Qualifications:  Level 1 TA Certification or in the process of working on Level 1 TA Certification

This position is currently an 8:1:3 classroom. However, the position may be reallocated depending on student needs.

Ability to provide instructional support to students with a variety of learning needs.

  • Quick learner, organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with digital tools, such as Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility to provide student instructional support in settings throughout the school, including; regular education classrooms, special education classrooms and alternative learning spaces.
  • Pleasant, positive, and flexible attitude; strong initiative; problem-solver; and committed to the position.
  • Punctuality and dependability are required.
  • Full-time, 10-month position
  • Monday-Friday / 8:15 am - 3:45 pm
  • Salary per CSEA contract

The Extended School Year Program (ESY) runs from Monday, July 6, 2026  -  Friday, August 14, 2026:

  • To support our special education programs and students with disabilities who have cognitive, emotional, and developmental delays.
  • Must be a NY State Certified Teaching Assistant
  • Must commit to the entire 30-day program
  • Monday - Friday / 8:45am - 2:45pm
  • Rate of pay: $21.94 per hour
