Physcial Therapist - District - 2026-2027

The Saratoga Springs City School District has a vacancy for a Physical Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year and is now accepting applications.

The Saratoga Springs City School District is seeking a Physical Therapist to support students with disabilities in accessing and participating in their educational programs. The Physical Therapist will provide evaluation, direct services, and consultation as a related service in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), in alignment with state and federal regulations. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Conduct physical therapy evaluations and re-evaluations for students referred through the Committee on Special Education (CSE) 

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy goals aligned with student IEPs 

• Provide direct and/or consultative physical therapy services in educational settings 

• Collaborate with special education teachers, general education staff, related service providers, and families 

• Participate in CSE meetings and contribute to IEP development 

• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to support student access and mobility 

• Support staff training related to positioning, mobility, and physical supports as needed 

Time Management and Organization 

• Effectively manage caseload responsibilities, including scheduling assessments, treatment sessions, and consultations, to optimize student outcomes.  

• Maintain accurate documentation of assessment results, progress notes, and intervention plans in compliance with regulatory requirements and school policies.  

• Prioritize tasks and allocate resources efficiently to meet deadlines and achieve program goals. 

Qualifications 

• Valid New York State license as a Physical Therapist 

• Experience working with children and/or in a school setting preferred 

• Knowledge of special education processes, including IEP development and implementation 

• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
