We are seeking an LOA Special Education Teacher for the remainder of the school year at Dorothy Nolan Elementary School. This position will support students within our Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) model and Direct Consultant Teacher (DCT) model.
Responsibilities
- Provides research-based specialized instruction aligned with students’ individual IEP goals and needs.
- Assesses student progress and uses data to inform instruction and make appropriate instructional adjustments.
- Utilizes a variety of evidence-based teaching strategies, methods, and approaches to support student learning and progress toward IEP goals.
- Develops, implements, and monitors students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Creates a positive, inclusive learning environment with an emphasis on individualized instruction and student engagement. Provides direction and support to educational paraprofessionals as appropriate.
- Establishes classroom structures and routines that promote student responsibility, cooperation, independence, and mutual respect.
- Collaborates and consults with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and other educational professionals to support student needs and progress.
- Maintains effective communication with students, families, and colleagues.
